1. Abdul, the giraffe,
	D E A Amaj7
tries again to make himself laugh.
    D E A Amaj7
But it's no use, for he knows that he's trapped
	Bm7 E A Amaj7
in another concrete day in a cage,
	Bm7 E A Amaj7
in another concrete day in a cage,
	Bm7 E A
	     another concrete day.

2.	Florence, the camel,
tries and tries to deny she's an animal.
But all her lies won't dissolve the inevitable.
It's another concrete day in a cage,
another concrete day in a cage,
	another concrete day.

Bridge: And the moon shines down.
	            C#m7 Bm7 A
	    And the stars shine down.
	            Bm7 C#m7 D C#m7 Bm7 E
And the light bulb shines down for everyone to see.

3.	Fred, at his desk,
hears his wristwatch beep nine o'clock
as he stares across the parking lot.
It's another concrete day in a cage,
another concrete day in a cage,
	another concrete day.
