1. It's one o'clock and the tv is off.
      C D G
I sit in my bathrobe and laugh, I laugh.
      C D G
I sit in my bathrobe and laugh.
      C G C D
I open the refrigerator door, have my last snack and then
       G C G C
my wife appears from inside the bath and says,
             D G C
"Are you ready for bed, for bed" and says
             D G
    "Are you ready for bed?"

2.	I wipe my face with a fresh washclothe
and stare in the mirror and floss, I floss.
I stare in the mirror and floss.
I open the bedroom door and then, fling my bathrobe aside
and fall asleep next to my wife,
but here's what I dream inside, inside.
	Here's what I dream inside.

3.	I'm a sailor fifteen days out at sea
and I smell like the rotting seaweed, seaweed.
I smell like the rotting seaweed.
I go up to the top of the ship, search the horizon and then
we bring out our dope and put on a keg,
cause there's no policeman in sight, in sight.
	There's no policeman in sight.
